(Excerpt from the book Unveiling the Veil by the scholar Sidi Ahmed Sakiraj)

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

All praise is due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon our master Muhammad, the opener of what was closed and the seal of what came before, and upon his family and companions, and may peace and blessings be upon them.

The method of visiting him, as narrated to us by the esteemed scholar, the great wali, and the well-known gnostic, Sayyidi Al-Ghali Boutalib (may Allah have mercy on him), is as follows: You should face the shrine and recite the Tashahhud seven times up to “and Allah’s mercy,” and in the eighth time, continue to “and His Messenger, peace be upon him.” Then, you say: “Peace be upon you, O Khalifah of Allah. Peace be upon you, O Khalifah of the Messenger of Allah. Peace be upon you, O the Hidden Pole. Peace be upon you, our master and our Sheikh, and our master Ahmad al-Tijani.”

Next, you recite Al-Fatiha four times and the Salat al-Fatiḥ (the prayer for the opener of what was closed) more than eleven times, and dedicate the reward of this to the Sheikh, may Allah be pleased with him. Then, you say: “O Allah, by the right of Your servants, who when You look at them, Your anger settles. And by the right of those closest to Your Throne. And by the right of our master Muhammad, peace be upon him. And by the right of our master, our Sheikh, and our master Ahmad al-Tijani, do for me such and such,” and name your need, for it will be fulfilled by the will of Allah.

Additionally, I found a narration from our esteemed Sheikh, may Allah be pleased with him, recorded by the great gnostic, Mawlana Muhammad ibn Abi al-Nasr, stating that whoever recites Surah Ya-Sin and dedicates its reward to our master, may Allah be pleased with him, and recites these verses and makes supplication for what they desire, their request will be answered by the power and might of Allah. The verses are as follows:

“Does any servant face hardship in Your protection, while You, O Masters, have dominion from time immemorial?
I have come to You, seeking Your aid, O those through whom all desires and hopes are fulfilled.
You are the protectors of the living, O the great help of all creatures, grant us victory and aid, O Generous One.”

There is also another method of visiting our master Sheikh Abu al-Abbas al-Tijani, may Allah be pleased with him, mentioned by the scholar Sidi Abdullah al-Tadili, transmitted from the great scholar Sidi Muhammad al-Arabi al-Sa’ih. It is as follows:

  1. Recite “Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and Allah’s mercy and blessings” 100 times.
  2. Recite “Peace be upon you, O Khalifah of our master the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, and his companion, his minister, and his companion in the cave, O our master Abu Bakr al-Siddiq, and Allah’s mercy and blessings” 3 times.
  3. Recite “Peace be upon you, O Khalifah of our master the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, and his companion, his minister, O Umar, who when Satan saw him, took another path, O our master Umar, and Allah’s mercy and blessings” 3 times.
  4. Recite “Peace be upon you, O Khalifah of our master the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, and his companion, his minister, O the one of the two lights, whose modesty the angels of the Most Merciful are shy of, O our master Uthman, and Allah’s mercy and blessings” 3 times.
  5. Recite “Peace be upon you, O Khalifah of our master the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, and his companion, his minister, O the one of the two lights, the lion of the battlefields, O the gate of the city of knowledge, O our master Ali ibn Abi Talib, and Allah’s mercy and blessings” 3 times.
  6. Recite “Peace be upon you, O all of our masters, the noble companions of Badr, from angels and companions, and Allah’s mercy and blessings” 3 times.
  7. Recite “Peace be upon you, O all of our masters and supporters of our master the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, the Muhajirun and Ansar, and Allah’s mercy and blessings” 3 times.
  8. Recite “Peace be upon you, O all of our masters and supporters of the family of our master the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, from uncles, children, wives, and grandchildren, whom Allah has united in companionship and lineage, and Allah’s mercy and blessings” 3 times.

Then, you recite the three verses:
“Does any servant face hardship in Your protection,
while You, O Masters, have dominion from time immemorial?”

Afterward, you make your supplication, seeking to intercede with Allah through these blessed individuals, asking for His pleasure, and requesting that He respond to your needs, both in this world and the Hereafter. You will see the results of this visit by the will of Allah, and the fruits of your supplications will be beyond the capacity of the worldly mind, and its secret will only be revealed in the Hereafter. May Allah fulfill your hope, for He is the All-Hearing, the Answerer of prayers.
